School can wait! I am 26, just started being serious about school.
I am curious if there is any work at home online jobs that are legit around now that the internet and everything is more accessible. I remember as a teenager and all through out my life trying to find that work at home, virtual jobs, that some people seem to get. I tried all the cheesy ways to try to make money online from clicking website for pennies, to answering surveys for dollars. What I realize was if I only had spent that time researching for a online job, I wish I would have spent that time to learn computer programming and web development, it turns out many of the jobs I was interested was related to these types of work but at the time I had no knowledge of what a database administrator was, but I heard his job was repetitive and easy and wanted to try to be one, but never really TRIED to do anything about acquiring the skills to actually become a database administrator. Now that I am in school learning about some aspects of computer science I realize a database administrator is literally someone that understands how to manage a database management system with languages like SQL for holding data. I honestly didn't know what computer programming was until I was around the age of 20-22. I was interested in programming since until I finally started school at the age of 26. Now I am in my second quarter of first year in an applications development program and I honestly have to say, with age and because I have a desire to learn about the subject and field I am studying. I find I am starting to enjoy school now. The trade off from not going to school and going to school is that you will not have the college experience life, but you will have the experience of real life which I value more then anything at this point when I think back about everything I learned from morals and values, all the different types of great people and opposite conniving deceiving people, but the biggest thing I learned is to let things go is the hardest thing to do, especially when you were so nice to someone and help them a lot, like no one in their family was helping them and they screw you out of thousands of dollars of your savings and you thought he was a Friend, he was so nice, but yea life lessons huh, you may get some of that lesson in college to though so I am not just saying real life experience only, weigh out your reasons, if in your mind you already want to take a break from school to discover other opportunities like traveling, or learning a skill that is not taught in schools. If you have the financial support to do it, I really consider you do but if you don't than only the people paying your bills have the rights to what you do in your life sorry. But of course this isn't to tell you to never go to school, you should always strive to learn a skill that can earn you an income that can support your opinion of a happy life style. I feel that the school bug will hit you when it hits you, and if it never hits you than you will actually enjoy school and feel its something thats improving your life and not just something you have to endure like pain for the next few years. maybe the school bug was going to hit you at the age of 150 but we dont live long enough to know so you can't tell me it will never come! HAHA! LOGIC!
good night. or good morning.
